Gold is found in various places on the motherboard: the IDE connector, PCI Express, PCI, AGP, ISA, and other port2, jumper pins, the processor socket and DIMM slots (SIMM on older motherboards). All of these connectors are often covered with a layer gold a few microns thick, deposited by means of flashing or coating.

How to Get Gold From Computer Used
Now, we'll show you how we wash the gold from the old motherboard using the "do-it-yourself". Please note: The chemicals used in this demonstration is very dangerous, especially at the concentrations used. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you try to reproduce this experiment at home.
