Processors

Hai all ..... This time we discussed how important is the name Processor.
Processor or better known as CPU (Central Processing Unit), is part of the computer that serves as a center to process everything that will be done by computer. It may be said that the processor is the brains of a computer. Just imagine if humans do not have a brain, then surely humans can not do anything, and can be regarded as the undead. Whatever activities carried out by computers, which process it is the processor.

Historically, the processor has undergone many revolutions / changes, both in terms of shape / architecture, functionality and speed. From the time of the output processor Intel is an Intel 4004 (early generation but not the first) to the present. The difference of course very, very far away both in terms of form, function and speed. Intel 4004 has a clock speed of 108KHz, the number of transistors 2300, yet there is a cache, bus speed of 108 KHz, and basic arithmetic functions for manipulation. Processor Intel Core 2 processor has a clock speed of 3.2 GHz, the number of transistors as many as 820 million, amounting to 12 MB cache, 1600 MHz bus speed, and has a very complex functions for multimedia, computing and so forth (the function of today's computers).
The function of a processor in a computer is very important, because the processor is central control and process to work a computer. For example, the function of the processor is when you want to run an application such as play songs on a player such as Winamp. First of course you will click on Winamp icon to play the songs you want. When you click on Winamp, the mouse provides a signal to your computer via the mouse cable to your mainboard. Then the mainboard via a special pathway, a signal is transmitted via a BUS path that will lead to Main Memory, once registered in the main memory, and then forwarded to the processor for processing the transmitted signal. After the processor processes these signals (checking request signal can be met or not), the processor sends a signal back to the other components needed to run the Winamp program (such as hard disks, memory and so on). Only the program Winamp will appear on your monitor
You need to know, the processor can only recognize the instruction with the notation Binary numbers (ex.01010001010). Is a notation for electronic devices where the number zero (0) indicates there is no electrical signal, and the number ONE (1) indicate the presence of electrical signals. Obviously the order of the process can not be imagined just a blink of an eye, because the processor speed that can reach 3.2 GHz (3200 million vibrations per second), so the process is very fast only a fraction of a milli seconds.
